I am a visual artist specialising in drawing, collage and sculpture. Currently I am based in Auckland, after moving from my hometown of Christchurch earlier this year to complete a Bachelor of Fine Art at Whitecliffe College of Art and Design.
My studio practice is heavily involved in aspects of the natural environment, and explores human relationships and impacts on individual species and the earth’s biosphere as a whole. Environmental issues specific to New Zealand are a recurring theme in my work.
Through my art, I address issues relating to the environment, either directly or indirectly. Currently I am exploring the concept of evolution, often in a pseudo-scientific way with influences from science-fiction. I aim to call in to doubt the stability of current natural hierarchies, and explore alternate pathways.
