From a series exhibited earlier this year-
The idea behind these works was to use basic manipulation of simple, frequently discarded materials to construct kinetic mechanisms that each serve a purpose for the plants they hold. The objects become a fusion of science-experiment and science-fiction, sprouting, growing and manoeuvring plant life upon spindly legs, bringing together empty vessels, broken fragments of plastic and wires commonly found in out-dated electronics, adapting them to serve a new practical purpose.
