I am a visual artist specialising in drawing, collage and sculpture. Currently I am based in Auckland, after moving from my hometown of Christchurch earlier this year to complete a Bachelor of Fine Art at Whitecliffe College of Art and Design.|
My studio practice is heavily involved in aspects of the natural environment, and explores human relationships and impacts on individual species and the earth’s biosphere as a whole. Environmental issues specific to New Zealand are a recurring theme in my work.
Through my art, I address issues relating to the environment, either directly or indirectly. Currently I am exploring the concept of evolution, often in a pseudo-scientific way with influences from science-fiction. I aim to call in to doubt the stability of current natural hierarchies, and explore alternate pathways.
